Yeah! Some of my friends have a band and they know him on a personal level from recording with him. You streaked again at a recent Afroman concert, right? All the recent exposure has made me super confident and egotistical. The first time I streaked was the first time I felt totally confident in myself. Then I started working out and lost weight. I used to cut myself and wear black all the time, or wear sweater in the middle of summer just to hide my body. I used to be super self conscious and depressed in high school. It didn't explode like at Keys N Krates, because there were so many people. No, the first time I actually did it was at Life in Color festival in Miami first time a few months ago. Was the Keys N Krates show the first time that you streaked? You can't dance properly! It's overwhelming. You've got these clothes hanging off you, holding you back. The music is so good, you want to get closer. What goes through your head as you're stripping your clothes off? The entire episode takes less than a minute. The manager finally pulls her off, and scoops her up like an adult baby to carry her off stage. Flo, jumps on his back and wraps her legs around him, her bare ass cheeks gleaming in the strobe lights. What happens next elevated the stunt from random act of festival foolishness to a full-blown act of notoriety: Platt squirms under the table, runs behind Jr. She hops around with her hands raised in rage-tastic glory for a few seconds before the group's manager darts out to grab her. Flo is hunched over his turntables, a screaming crowd lapping up the bass blasts of GTA and Juyen Sebulba's "Hard House." Right as the beat drops, Platt leaps on stage to a chorus of hoots and whistles. While this shrub looks best rising up out of an outdoor landscape, it can also be grown in a container. If you are the type of person who likes your garden to make a statement, the Sky Pencil Holly is for you. The fact that it is super easy to grow only makes it that much more attractive as a holly. The distinctive shape wants to be used in a bold landscape or as a striking hedgerow. The name Sky Pencil Holly is an apt descriptor. ‘Berries Jubilee’ is a dome-shaped plant, 6 to 10 feet tall, with large leaves and a heavy crop of large, bright red berries. This is one of my favorite evergreens because it literally stands up like an exclamation point and announces itself to all passersby.‘Rotunda’ or Dwarf Chinese holly grows only to 3 to 4 feet tall and 6 to 8 feet wide.‘Burfordii’ or Burford holly grows to 20 feet tall and wide. They are one of the few hollies that produce berries without pollination. Most Chinese hollies grow quite large, 10 to 15 feet. The Chinese hollies (Ilex cornuta): The Chinese hollies produce large, spiny leaves that are very glossy and dark green in color. Plants grow 5 to 10 feet tall and 5 to 12 feet wide. ‘Roundleaf’ is a male selection that does not produce berries.‘Hetzii’ is a dwarf form of ‘Convexa’ and grows 2 to 3 feet in height. ‘Convexa’ has dark-green leaves, is a heavy fruit producer and may reach 9 feet tall and 24 feet wide.‘Helleri’ is a compact form, which reaches 4 feet at maturity.Photo by Karen Russ, ©2007 HGIC, Clemson Extension ‘Helleri Japanese holly growing as a high groundcover or mass planting. Japanese hollies tolerate severe pruning. They range from slow-growing to relatively fast-growing, and are a good choice for hedges. They are usually 3 to 10 feet high, with a similar spread and look more like a boxwood than a holly. The Japanese hollies (Ilex crenata): The Japanese hollies are evergreen shrubs with relatively small, spineless leaves and black fruit. Root rot diseases are a problem with several Japanese cultivars. This could be due to poor pollination young, immature plants high nitrogen levels in the soil or a late spring frost which injured the flowers.Ĭommon pests on hollies are scale, bud moth, red mites and leafminers. Poor fruiting on hollies is a problem experienced by many gardeners. Check with your nursery owner about whether the hollies you are buying need both male and female plants to set fruit.Ĭontainerized plants can be set out at any time, but early fall is best. Some hollies are self-fertilizing, but others are exclusively female and need a male plant nearby for pollination. Hollies will grow in sun or part shade, but for the best berry production and most compact growth choose a sunny spot. All appreciate mulch to deter weeds and keep the soil moist and cool. Most hollies require well-drained soil that is rich in organic matter and slightly acid. Larger evergreen hollies make attractive, impenetrable tall hedges or screens. Smaller hollies are attractive as foundation plantings or low hedges. They can be deciduous or evergreen and vary from small (18 inches) to very large (over 50 feet). Hollies offer a diverse range of plant characteristics. The Holly ( Ilex) genus consists of more than 400 species. Many of the religious leaders of the day hated Him, and remained unconvinced even after Jesus actually raised a friend named Lazarus from the dead. The primary audience is the Pharisees (v14), who were worried that Jesus was compromising the religious fabric of Israel.Read the story in the context of the rest of the Bible, and the meaning isn’t hard to discern: I’ve heard preachers declare it to be an allegory, but they never seem to explain it. But most of those same people never get around to explaining it. To read the story literally creates a number of logical problems: Lazarus ends up living in Abraham’s chest, the rich man’s ghost (if one assumes, as many do, that this is a spectral story) has a physical tongue that can be cooled with water, and the residents of heaven are capable of conversing with the denizens of hell over a “great gulf.”Įxcept for a handful of Christians who would like to build a working theory of the afterlife out of the words of this story, the tale is widely accepted as an allegory - a parable. The remainder of the story clearly uses allegorical language. "There was a certain rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and fared sumptuously every day.” (Luke 16:19) The parable of the rich man and Lazarus begins the same way: "There was a certain rich man….” (The parable of the unjust steward, Luke 16:1) “A certain man had two sons….” (The parable of the prodigal son, Luke 15:11) “A certain man gave a great supper….” (The parable of the great supper, Luke 14:16) “ A certain man had a fig tree….” (The parable of the barren fig tree, Luke 13:6) In fact, the story comes immediately after Jesus tells a number of parables that all begin with the same kind of language: PCMark8’s storage performance test turned in a score of 4,896, which is solid, but a bit lower than we expected given that our review unit was equipped with two 240GB Crucial M5 drives configured in RAID 0. The Talon is conventional, yet refined, and its performance speaks for itself. Falcon only charges $50 for the overclock service, which seems a great value in light of the performance boost it provides. The smaller Cyberpower Zeus Mini, which wielded an Intel Core i7-4770K CPU clocked at the stock speed, turned in respective scores of 125 and 22,371. SiSoft Sandra’s Processor Arithmetic test earned a score of 152.67 GOPs, and the 7-Zip compression test returned a result of 27,615. The overclocked Core i7-4770K in our review unit was clocked at 4.5 GHz rather than the default 3.5 GHz, an improvement of over 25 percent, and the benefits of the bump showed up in our benchmark results. There’s plenty of room for any video card you could imagine, and while our review unit was water-cooled, there’s no shortage of space for a big air-cooler if that’s what you prefer. A Talon can’t accommodate gobs of hard drives like a Mach V or an Origin Genesis, but it does have room for up to seven if you use adapters to convert the 5.25 inch optical bays. Overall, there’s no challenge here, just a wide-open interior that’s easy to work with and has plenty of room for future upgrades. Anyone who’s opened a PC before will feel right at home, which is great. The hard drive bay is tool-less and oriented towards the side panel, so replacing a drive takes mere minutes. Almost all the system’s internal wiring is woven through cut-outs behind the motherboard, which means that there are no wires in the way of components you may want to replace or remove. That doesn’t mean the layout lacks quality, however. Almost everything is exactly where you’d expect it to be in any ATX-based computer. Once you pop the panel open, you’ll find the layout to be pretty standard. Opening the Talon requires the removal of two thumb screws that attach to the side panel. While the port selection is robust, we wouldn’t call it exceptional. Around back, you’ll find six more USB 3.0 port, one ancient PS/2, two DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort, Ethernet and 5.1 audio. The two front USB 3.0 ports and front headphone/microphone jacks are all top-mounted and labeled, so they’re easy to access no matter where the system sits. Though it’s not cheap, you can choose to slather your Talon rig with metallic, pearlcoat or even color-shifting finishes.įunctionally, the Talon works well enough, though we wish the case door could be arranged to swing either left or right, rather than just to the right. If you want to add some pizazz to the Talon, it’ll cost you $359 for a Falcon Northwest paintjob. Can the Talon claw its way to the top of the pack?Ī white LED-backlit strip along the top-front portion of the enclosure provides some visual flair. Both buyers and builders know a mid-sized tower is the sweet spot of standard PC form factors, so everyone has at least one, and some offer several. Though that’s a lot, the potential of the system is impressive, and its priced far less than an equivalent Mach V, the company’s full tower system. Our review unit, which features an overclocked Intel Core i7-4770k CPU, an Nvidia GeForce GTX 780 Ti, 16GB of RAM and two 240GB SSDs, is priced just north of $3,000. While new hardware has come and gone, the Talon, a line which was first sold starting in 1999, is still standing. These computers don’t require a hand truck to move, and tend to offer solid value.įalcon Northwest’s Talon is a veteran in this field. Yet there’s still something compelling about a simple mid-sized tower. Small desktop computers have become more popular over the last few years thanks to huge improvements in processor and GPU efficiency, and new designs from major boutique PC makers.

I don't know what percentage of guys are caught by the "room" seeing them do something. The tapes are in general something that only backs up what one sees live. Second of all the system set up to punish wrong doers, is pretty well sided with the casino anyhow. First of all like I said when you see it on the TV screen, it LOOKS GOOD. Point is they don't NEED it for a couple very important reasons. So you will never have great quality type of this video. Tommy another thing to consider is that to get broadcast quality footage lighting, and a whole host of things comes into play. It wasn’t until some girl rated and explained the scam that they understood it. They had to send the film to experts and they could not see anything wrong. They knew something was going on because the take had dropped and watched the dealers for months, but could not nail what they were doing. Now they was talking to the security at one casino, where the a scam had gone on. I was watching a TV documentary “The Worlds Greatest Gambling Scams.” or something like that. Why do they hide what they are seeing in a back room and not allow anyone in to see how wonderful it is, if it really is that good. The casinos have a vested interested in promoting the notion that their security is wonderful, because if everyone believes it, no ever even tries to beat it. While the hand has never been faster than the human eye, is it faster than a digital eye? When I have seen casino footage on TV and so on it's actually never been very good quality. It is just that the operators are using CCTV that is not as good at capturing sleight of hand as we might think, perhaps. Moreover you guys are as good or better than the guys in the EYE room at nailing moves so you could Play the the part of the EYE guys so to speak and tell me if the move would fly by looking at the film. What I am thinking is if I can beat mt Sony Digital camera then then I should be able to beat the EYE as there CCTV is no better than I what I have got. The more I look into the facts about digital CCTV the more I think its crap. What does that mean? I think it means my man has something and think the digital systm they now have in is casiono can now beat by sleight of hand. It might have to consider this reliance in the near future." Familiarity and past performance may be a barrier for the gaming industry. Few digital systems today can perform at this level. Not only do digital systems need to capture and record video at real-time 30 fps, they also need to be able to be reviewed at comparable 4 CIF image sizes. Surveillance officials within the gaming industry are hesitant to trade viewing full-screen video clips, for 2 CIF, baseball card-size video clips, which is what is available with most real-time digital systems today. However, the truth is that doing it across several hundred cameras, and at a resolution that can easily been reviewed, is a different story altogether. Certainly, there are many systems that claim this ability. "Then, there is the challenge of recording multiple cameras at real-time frame rates. The songs were recorded at Big Dog Recordings, Antwerp, and mixed by Tim van Doorn. Other songs are about demons and how to fight them, about how the world should be but never is, about angels and punx, and about honesty being the rarest commodity in the 21st century. About how people want you to get back on your feet as soon as possible, while you just don’t want to let go of the feeling of sadness, because that’s all that’s still alive and strong: everything that’s loved never leaves. The first single “Dice” is a song I wrote for my friend Lampje. I asked my former bandmate Patrick Schappert to contribute extra guitars and bass for additional licks, and in this way we improvised and rehearsed. It took a few attempts and convincing before I finally got the courage to stick to the basics, so I went to Antwerp to Tim van Doorn’s Big Dog Studio to record 7 songs. I’ve always been a fan of country-style guitars and songs that say a lot with very little.
